Chef Paul started his chef's training at
Rockwell College at the age of 16. In the 70's he moved to
England to continue his training.
On his return to Ireland he designed and established the Stone
Court restaurant in Waterford, in partnership with his good
friend, Frank Hamm.
Some years later he opened the Esquire in Tramore,
where he has become renowned for his fine cuisine.
The Pub
The Pub itself is a mix of traditional Irish and modern chic and
has plenty of interesting items to keep you entertained
including a bicycle on the ceiling!

The Esquire was opened in 1932 by local
business man Jim Quinn as a Gentleman's Bar.
Taken over by Chef Paul Horan in 1980 and soon after opened one
of Waterford first good food restaurants.
All food is served fresh and plenty of local seafood specials
including Lobster, Scallops & Mussels are available seasonally.
